Welcome to Westerleigh Parish Council Minimize

Welcome to Westerleigh Parish Council’s website.  This parish council is here to serve the needs of its parishioners.

Westerleigh Parish Council strives to continually work together with all sectors of the community to enhance the social and economic wellbeing for the residents of Westerleigh Parish so that it is an even better place to live, work and visit.

This Website

The Council regards communication as an important part of its role.  Westerleigh Parish Council already has a notice board in each Ward and its own newsletter so the next logical step was to set up a website.

The site was launched for public access in January 2008, with the principal aim of raising the level of awareness, and encouraging public participation in the activities of the parish council.

This site is designed to make available to the public, information by way of minutes and reports, which detail the actions taken by the Parish Council in carrying out its duties.

THE AIMS OF THE PARISH COUNCIL

the aims of the Parish Council are :-

  • To provide the best possible services and amenities which meet the needs and expectations of our residents and endeavor to manage these within the most economical budget available
  • The Parish Council aims to be a "listening Council" and encourages you to let us know your opinions, comments and concerns.  We will act promptly to pass onto other local authorities or bodies, concerns which we cannot deal with ourselves, problems within the powers of the Parish Council will be passed to the relevant committees.  Each meeting has a public participation section to allow you to raise any concerns appropriate to that committee.
